Failing Savior

You can’t save

The ones that don’t want saving

Life raft floating

Inches from her face

The pull of the undertow

Much too powerful to take

And she cries

Out into the darkness

Seeking no advice

Praying for release

Going deeper into the blue

Wanting no more

Floating away

Into the blackness of space
